Contests
We had nine lucky prize winners in our first-anniversary giveaway who won nine different prizes. Check out the contests page for all the juicy details on what you missed. Next issue We're running a slightly different format these days. Rather than publish a longer newsletter on a set weekly schedule, we're sending shorter newsletters on an irregular basis these days. Hope you enjoy! Subscriptions You too can receive these newsletters in your e-mail. All you need to do is enter your e-mail address in the form in the top, right-hand corner of any page on the site and click the "GO!" button. So sign up now, eh! Suggestions If you have a suggestion for an article, factoid, joke, statistic or anything else for the newsletter, please send it to our researcher. Any comments about this Web site can be directed to the webmaster. |
Future Friday Features. March 9, 2001. I said we'd announce our intentions for the Friday Feature this week, so here they are. We certainly don't have a shortage of topics on which to write. What is in short supply is time. We had planned to keep going for as long as we could, hopefully until we had assembled a small pool of volunteer writers who could keep us supplied with material between them. However, we simply can't do that at this time. Therefore the Friday Feature is going to become a monthly feature, published on the first Friday of every month. We will next publish a Friday Feature on Friday, April 6, 2001. Thanks for being with us and for your support. ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø == PREVIEW == On Sunday I quiz you on the Alberta Clipper, cover the life of David Cronenberg, introduce a new article entitled "Notes from the Notable", tell you about a new record in the Canadian film industry, describe Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Alberta, give you a recipe for Canadian Cheddar Soup, list the ten countries with the highest per capita ownership of radios, tell you about the first trademarks issued in Canada, and announce that we will be announcing our next contest. ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø Craig and I are not happy about cutting back production of the Friday Feature but, as you can tell from the preview of this Sunday's Newsletter, we are committed to bringing you the best Canadian newsletter on the Internet.
